We bought the Nygranne house in 2013, when we retired. We live here all year round and love life in the country.
The bakehouse at Nygranne dates from 1800. We renovated it completely in the spring of 2014 and we are now able to offer it for rent on a weekly basis. It consists of a free standing wing of the main house with views of fields and paddocks where horses are grazing. It is embedded by ash trees, chestnuts and a flower garden.
The kitchen is fully kitted out for self-catering. There are two bedrooms (with 4 beds) all made up and ready. The sitting room has a sofa bed as well. The bathroom has a shower and the bake house has a woodburning stove. The house is well insulated, and nice and warm also in the winter. When it’s cold outside the floors have underfloor heating and there are radiators upstairs.
It’s a working farm with horses in the paddocks and also training tracks for gallops. Bustling but also peaceful and an idyllic lifestyle.
Close by there are Nyhamns and Lickershamn fishing villages, the Lummelunda caves, the Krusmynta House, the beaches at Brissund and the beautiful and well preserved Klint coastline.
The bakehouse has a floor area of 70 square metres. It is a free standing wing of the Nygranne farmhouse in Lummelunda, Gotland, and is available weekly for rent, all year round.
The bakehouse was completely renovated in 2014. It has accommodation for four people. If needed there is also a sofa bed in the sitting room.
There is a fully equipped kitchen for self catering, with a new cooker, extractor fan and a fridge. There is a bathroom with shower downstairs. Underfloor heating downstairs and radiators upstairs. Woodburner for added warmth and home comfort.
Bedding, towels and cleaning, all included.
No smoking or pets.
We are offering our accommodation to guests who appreciate the genuine quality of our traditional bake house and being surrounded by fields and paddocks.
Easy access to the dramatic and beautiful Klint coastline and country walks in the surrounding heaths, and RAUK (chalk formations) areas, all part of the national Park.
If you are interested in wild flower fields, flora and fauna and nearby bird sanctuaries, and orchids, this is just for you.
If you enjoy traditional churches, the herb gardens of Krusmynta Garden, restaurants, small shops, the nearby artist home of Brucebo, Sjalso stone bakery, the fishing villages of Nyhamn and Lickerhamn, you’ll love this.
Also local handicraft shops, artisan workshops. A visit to Nygranne will offer you all of this!
